Skkye and Michael’s story began in Jackson, Wyoming, during a birthday road trip with one of Skkye’s best friends, Hadley. They met on the very first night, instantly clicked, and then—just like in the movies—went their separate ways without swapping numbers. But fate wasn’t done with them yet. On the very last night of the trip, they crossed paths again, and this time, the spark stuck.

A month later, Michael traveled to Memphis, where Skkye was in law school, and asked her to be his girlfriend—complete with a necklace of the Tetons to mark where it all began. From long-distance days filled with milestones to finally building a life together in New Mexico (with their two pups, Max and Henry, of course), their story has been filled with love, adventure, and plenty of laughter.

When it came time to propose, Michael brought it full circle—back to Jackson, under the Teton mountains at Jenny Lake. Now, they’re so excited to celebrate their next chapter surrounded by family and friends in Austin, Texas, in the fall of 2026!
